# Runes

Mythical objects which are created by writing symbols with Crystal dust

List of currently available **Runes**

The **Rune of Quality** dissolves into an item and raises its **Quality by 1**. There is no roll - the mark **always takes**.

It is cut at the [**Blacksmith**](/pawtato-land/gameplay/buildings/crafting-stations.md), the **Woodwright** and the **Mason** alike, and needs **no Glyph**. Each of the three carries its own copy of the recipe, so you can have one running at every craftsman at the same time.

Runes of Quality are also what unlocks a **Master** [Glyph slot](/pawtato-land/gameplay/tools.md#crafting-glyph-slots) - each of the three Master slots costs 250 of them.
