Schematics

Learnable recipes that permanently unlock new things to craft.

A Schematic is a piece of crafting knowledge you find out in the World. Consuming one permanently unlocks a recipe on your account, adding it to the list of things you can craft. Schematics are in-game items that live in your Backpack until you learn them.

πŸ“ Jump in: Open the Cooking Station or Fisherman's Hut in Pawtato Land.

"Schematic" is the umbrella term. Each schematic is one of three sub-types:

Sub-type
Unlocks

Recipe

Cooking recipes made at the Cooking Station

Blueprint

Epic weapon recipes, learned at the equipment craftsman that forges the weapon, and material recipes such as Flaxen Twine at the Tailor β€” see Blueprints

Formula

Alchemy recipes, learned at the Alchemist

All three sub-types exist today β€” Recipes unlock cooking at the Cooking Station, Blueprints unlock an epic weapon at its equipment craftsman or a material at the Tailor, and Formulas unlock potion brewing at the Alchemist.

Current Recipes

Recipe schematics are shown in your Backpack as Recipe: <Dish>. Learning one lets the Cooking Station cook that dish, which grants your Heroes a 24-hour effect buff when eaten.

Finding Schematics

Schematics are earned through play, not crafted. You can come across them as loot out in the World, from events, tournaments and the Arena β€” or buy them at the Fisherman's Hut.

At the Fisherman's Hut the three cooking recipes are sold for fish β€” no TATO β€” and gated behind your Shoalkeepers Reputation:

Learning a Recipe

You learn Recipe schematics at the Cooking Station, on its Recipes tab. Learning consumes the schematic and permanently adds the recipe to your Cooking Station β€” a recipe only ever needs to be learned once.

  • A schematic for a recipe you don't yet have is marked (available) with a green Learn Recipe button.

  • A schematic for a recipe you already know is marked (already known), and its Already Known button is disabled β€” you can't learn the same recipe twice, and the game won't consume a duplicate.

  • Until you've learned any recipes, the Cooking Station's Crafting tab is empty and prompts you to venture out into the World to find some.

A schematic that is currently listed on the Marketplace can't be learned until you delist it.

How to learn a Recipe (step by step)

  1. On the world map, open the Cooking Station.

  2. Select the Recipes tab. It lists every recipe schematic in your Backpack, each tagged (available) or (already known).

  3. Pick an (available) schematic to open it.

  4. Click Learn Recipe and confirm. The schematic is consumed and you'll see a "<Recipe> learned!" confirmation.

  5. Switch to the Crafting tab β€” the new dish is now available to cook whenever you have the fish it calls for.
