Talismans

Talismans and the combat effects they grant your Heroes.

Talismans are a class of Equipment that a Hero wears in its Talisman slots. Most are dropped by enemies, elites and bosses in combat, though some are crafted at the Mason or won through giveaways. A Hero can equip up to three at once (the first Talisman slot is free; the other two are unlocked with Ultra-Rare Resources).

Talismans come in two flavours:

  • Charms — the simplest Talismans, which just channel a flat bonus to one of a Hero's stats. Charms can be fused into higher tiers at the Altar.

  • Effect Talismans — rarer Talismans that grant a named combat effect (and usually some bonus stats on top).

Effect Talismans only do something in combat — the Proving Grounds, Dungeons and the Arena. The one exception is the Golden Hook, whose effect helps you fish. Charms' stat bonuses, by contrast, apply everywhere a stat matters.

Effect Talismans

Each of these grants one combat effect while equipped. The effect itself is fixed — it does not get stronger with the Talisman's Tier or Quality (Tier only changes its Durability). Many also roll bonus stats when they're made or found.

What it does

Frenzy Core

Epic

Overdrive

When you land a Critical Strike with a Basic Attack, you gain an extra Charge stack for your equipped Charge skill. Does nothing if you have no Charge skill equipped. (Also grants bonus Luck.)

Infinity Paw

Mythic

Cosmic Pawer

Increases all of the Hero's stats by 10% for the encounter.

Heart of Axomamma

Legendary

Pawtective Field

Negates the first two instances of damage the Hero takes each encounter. (Also grants bonus Hit.)

Forged Potato

Epic

Limited Plot Armor

If a hit would be lethal, the Hero instead survives at 1 HP — once per encounter. (Also grants bonus Vitality.)

Stoic Spud

Rare

Pawnic Resistance

Negates the first negative status effect applied to the Hero each encounter. (Also grants bonus Vitality.)

Marrowbound Seal

Legendary

Marrow Surge

Every turn, the Hero gains +1 Agility and +1 Dexterity, stacking up to +10 each by end of combat. (Also grants bonus Vitality, Agility and Dexterity.)

Golden Hook

Legendary

Blessed Fishing

Not a combat effect — increases your Fishing Catch Bar gain by 25%. (Also grants bonus Luck.)

Only one copy of a given effect matters — equipping two Frenzy Cores does not double Overdrive.

Stat Talismans

These Talismans carry no active effect; they simply grant stat bonuses.

Charms — Health, Force, Wit, Quickness and Finesse, in tiers I / II / III (+1 / +2 / +3 to their stat). See the Charms page for the full breakdown and how to equip them.

Morito's Idols (Rare) — dropped by the Morito boss, each pairs a main stat with a matching combat stat:

Talisman
Grants

Ironpaw Idol

Strength + Physical Damage

Runepaw Idol

Intelligence + Magical Damage

Burrowshade Charm

Agility + Evasion

Razorroot Emblem

Dexterity + Critical Strike Chance

Stonehide Totem

Vitality + Block

Pendants (Rare, from Wooden Accessory Chests) — Mudclaw Pendant (Vitality + Strength + Agility) and Cracked Sunstone (Vitality + Intelligence + Dexterity).

Lucky Coin (Uncommon) — a Fleeting trinket that grants a little Luck and can be burned in place of TATO at the Casino Wheel of Fortune.

Where Talismans come from

  • Enemy, elite & boss drops — most Talismans are earned as combat loot. Charms and Stoic Spud drop from Proving Grounds encounters and equipment chests, and the Morito boss drops the Frenzy Core (rare) and the five Morito's Idols.

  • Giveaways & events — Talismans can also be won through giveaways, contests and events.

  • Crafted at the Mason — Talismans can also be crafted.

  • Fisherman's Hut — the Golden Hook is bought at the Fisherman's Hut.

Equipping a Talisman

Talismans slot into a Hero's Talisman slots exactly like Charms do — open Hero Management, click a Talisman slot, pick the Talisman and Equip. See the Charms page for the step-by-step, and Attunement for what happens when a Talisman binds on equip.
