Charms

Small Talismans that channel a measure of a single stat to your Hero.

Charms are simple Talismans — a light class of equipment that grants a flat bonus to one of a Hero's main stats. They slot into a Hero's Talisman slots alongside other Talismans, and come in three tiers of increasing power.

Charm Types

There are five Charm types, one for each of the stats they boost:

Charm
Boosts
What that does

Health Charm

Vitality (VIT)

Increases Hit Points

Force Charm

Strength (STR)

Increases Physical Damage

Wit Charm

Intelligence (INT)

Increases Magical Damage

Quickness Charm

Agility (AGI)

Increases Evasion

Finesse Charm

Dexterity (DEX)

Increases Crit Damage

Each Charm only ever affects its single stat — there are no secondary effects. See Stats for exactly how each stat shapes a Hero in combat.

Tiers

Every Charm type exists in three tiers, and the tier determines how much of the stat it grants:

Tier
Stat Bonus
Rarity

Charm I

+1

Common

Charm II

+2

Uncommon

Charm III

+3

Uncommon

For example, a Force Charm III grants +3 Strength, while a Health Charm I grants +1 Vitality. Charm III is the highest tier — there is no Charm above it.

Charms Bind on Equip: the first time a Charm is equipped on a Hero it becomes soulbound to your account. See Attunement for what binding means.

How to equip a Charm on a Hero (step by step)

Charms are equipped exactly like any other Talisman:

  1. Open Hero Management by clicking your Hero's portrait in the top-left corner of the screen. (Or open your Player Profile and click Manage Heroes on the Selected Hero card, then pick the Hero on the Heroes tab.) The Hero must be staked.

  2. On the Hero's equipment layout, click an empty Talisman slot.

  3. In the Available Equipment selector, find the Charm you want (use the Search field or the All / Free filter) and click it.

  4. Click Equip. If the Charm attunes on equip, confirm with Equip & Bind. To swap out a Charm already in the slot, the button reads Switch instead.

To remove a Charm, open the same slot and click Unequip.

Talisman slots

Every Hero has three Talisman slots, but only the first is unlocked by default. The other two are unlocked with Ultra Rare Resources (URRs) earned through gameplay, and must be unlocked in order — slot 2 before slot 3.

Upgrading Charms

You can fuse three matching Charms into a single higher-tier one at the Altar (found in the Proving Grounds), on its Upgrade Charms tab.

Select 3 identical Charms — same type and same tier — and the upgrade produces one Charm of the same type, one tier higher. For example, 3× Health Charm I become 1× Health Charm II. Each upgrade also consumes Essence of Axoma:

Upgrade
Essence of Axoma Cost

Charm I → Charm II

3

Charm II → Charm III

10

Because Charm III is the top tier, there is no upgrade beyond it. Charms that are equipped on a Hero or listed on the marketplace cannot be used as upgrade inputs.

Charm Shuffle

The Casino offers a second way to change your Charms: Charm Shuffle, which sacrifices 3 Charms for 1 new random Charm — with a chance for the result to come out a tier higher. Unlike upgrading, the inputs do not have to match, and the output is always a different type from the ones you sacrificed.

For the full odds and rules, see Charm Shuffle on the Casino page.
