# Land NFTs

Pawtato Land has its roots in the very first Sui Land NFT collection mint, which happened on June 21st 2025. A record **15,000 Land NFTs** have been minted within **1h 17min**. No more Land NFTs will be created.

<figure><img src="/files/L97AYXhM3OaQSoSZ6Z2u" alt=""><figcaption><p>A Land with common traits vs a Land with rare traits</p></figcaption></figure>

From September 24th until October 8th **The Merge** event happened, where players could combine 4 Land Plots into an [Estate](/pawtato-land/gameplay/land-nft/estate.md) or 9 Land Plots into a [Province](/pawtato-land/gameplay/land-nft/province.md). The Merge was a one-time irreversible event, which reduced the number of Land Plots to **5,704** while creating **776** Estates and **688** Provinces.

### Land NFTs and their traits

Pawtato Land NFTs have **nine different traits** with values that differ in rarity. Estates and Provinces have additional traits in regards to [Influence](/pawtato-land/gameplay/land-nft/influence.md) and the capability to incorporate [Buildings](/pawtato-land/gameplay/buildings.md).

#### Base Traits - Resources

The traits include **seven base resources**, each with a value of either **None**, **Small**, **Medium** or **Large**. The rarity of the resource traits is as follows:

| Resource | None | Small | Medium | Large |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -----: | -----: | -----: | -----: |
| <img src="/files/T8LZCuQjjW7Ldg7lwXDV" alt="" data-size="line">**Wood** | - | 52.44% | 35.35% | 12.21% |
| <img src="/files/w1QXPT1JCy1CVAI3m9CM" alt="" data-size="line">**Stone** | - | 49.33% | 36.81% | 13.87% |
| <img src="/files/ky7RDsF5Br7LBGKHSUCa" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:green;">**Water**</mark> | 39.69% | 36.97% | 17.13% | 6.22% |
| <img src="/files/69nWrfgeyICQ0GlFEV5t" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:green;">**Coal**</mark> | 39.60% | 34.09% | 21.49% | 4.83% |
| <img src="/files/BCrcKBGi7TCC5mG4A8d3" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:green;">**Iron**</mark> | 63.69% | 17.35% | 13.71% | 5.25% |
| <img src="/files/1nBNvbi8JZnSHDykDSxu" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:blue;">**Gold**</mark> | 74.10% | 15.43% | 7.26% | 3.21% |
| <img src="/files/an7e7EQL3wWJH0kdwWVD" alt="" data-size="line"><mark style="color:purple;">**Crystal**</mark> | 93.59% | 4.25% | 2.05% | 0.11% |

Depending on these traits and their respective size (*small / medium / large*) a **Land generates** [**resources**](/pawtato-land/gameplay/resources.md) at a certain rate - if staked in the game:

<table><thead><tr><th width="184.234375">Base Resource</th><th width="182.25" align="right">Production - Small *</th><th align="right">Production - Medium *</th><th align="right">Production - Large*</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Wood, Stone, </strong><mark style="color:green;"><strong>Water</strong></mark></td><td align="right">1.209600</td><td align="right">3.628800</td><td align="right">6.048000</td></tr><tr><td><mark style="color:green;"><strong>Coal, Iron</strong></mark></td><td align="right">0.362880</td><td align="right">1.088640</td><td align="right">1.814400</td></tr><tr><td><mark style="color:blue;"><strong>Gold</strong></mark></td><td align="right">0.072576</td><td align="right">0.217728</td><td align="right">0.362880</td></tr><tr><td><mark style="color:purple;"><strong>Crystal</strong></mark></td><td align="right">0.048384</td><td align="right">0.145152</td><td align="right">0.241920</td></tr></tbody></table>

<p align="right">*daily base production</p>

#### Environmental Traits - Sky and Soil

In addition to the base resource traits, each Land also has also **two environmental traits** - **Sky and Soil**, which give an **additive boost** to the lands production rates. Potential values and their boosts of each trait:

| ⛅️ Sky | Rarity | Boost |
| ------------ | -----: | ----: |
| **Mint** | 25.78% | 0% |
| **Cloudy** | 21.80% | 5% |
| **Lavender** | 12.64% | 10% |
| **Golden** | 11.18% | 15% |
| **Sunrise** | 10.10% | 20% |
| **Daylight** | 9.73% | 25% |
| **Sundown** | 7.74% | 50% |
| **Atomic** | 1.03% | 100% |

| 🏜️ Soil | Rarity | Boost |
| -------------- | -----: | ----: |
| **Brown** | 34.32% | 0% |
| **Ochre** | 25.20% | 10% |
| **Terracotta** | 19.87% | 20% |
| **Olive** | 15.09% | 30% |
| **Violet** | 5.52% | 75% |

The final production boost combines both Soil and Sky traits (additive), with the maximum being Violet Soil + Atomic Sky for a total 175% boost. Certain [**Production Tools**](/pawtato-land/gameplay/tools/production-tools.md) can increase the boost and therefore the production of all lands.

#### Bonus Resource - Mushrooms

If a player has a [**Foraging Knife**](/pawtato-land/gameplay/tools/production-tools.md) equipped, his Lands also produce Mushrooms.&#x20;

<table><thead><tr><th width="184.234375">Base Resource</th><th width="182.25" align="right">Plot Base</th><th align="right">Estate Base</th><th align="right">Province Base</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Mushroom</strong></td><td align="right">0.02</td><td align="right">0.04</td><td align="right">0.06</td></tr></tbody></table>

The amount produced is influenced by the Sky and Soil traits of the Land as well as the Rarity of the Foraging Knife.

### Storage

Lands also have a base **Storage Capacity** for each resource. Estates have 4x that storage and Provinces 9x.

<table><thead><tr><th width="187">Resource</th><th align="right">Storage Capacity per Land</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Wood, Stone, </strong><mark style="color:green;"><strong>Water</strong></mark></td><td align="right">1.00</td></tr><tr><td><mark style="color:green;"><strong>Coal</strong></mark><strong>, </strong><mark style="color:green;"><strong>Iron</strong></mark></td><td align="right">0.30</td></tr><tr><td><mark style="color:blue;"><strong>Gold</strong></mark></td><td align="right">0.10</td></tr><tr><td><mark style="color:purple;"><strong>Crystal</strong></mark></td><td align="right">0.05</td></tr></tbody></table>

If storage is full, Architects must claim resources to their wallet to resume production. Claiming mints the resources as **native tokens** on the SUI blockchain and clears the storage. Staking a [**Wheelbarrow**](/pawtato-land/gameplay/tools/production-tools.md#wheelbarrow) expands storage capacity, allowing it to take longer before filling up.

Example for Storage when staking **4 Lands** and an <mark style="color:green;">**uncommon Wheelbarrow**</mark> with **100** [**Quality**](/pawtato-land/gameplay/crafting/quality.md):
